MBBS (Malaya), M.Clin.Onco (Malaya), Genetics and Genomics (Stanford CA), Fellowship in SRS/ SBRT (Korea)

Dr Ang served in major oncology centres in Malaysia, namely Hospital Kuala Lumpur Oncology Centre, University Kebangsaan Oncology Centre (HUKM) and University Malaya Oncology Centre (UMMC) before obtaining his Master Clinical Oncology (MCO) from his Alma Mater, University of Malaya (UM). Subsequently, he served as a Clinical Oncologist at National Cancer Institute (IKN), Putrajaya and Hospital Sultan Ismail, Johore.

In order to enhance his clinical skills in advanced radiotherapy techniques, he undergo trainings in Ramathibodi Radiosurgery Centre, Thailand and Korea Institute of Radiological & Medical Sciences (KIRAMS) which is the first cancer centre in Asia to have a CyberKnife. He was also certified as a CyberKnife operator from University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, USA.

Adding under his belt are his certificate in Genetics and Genomics from Stanford, California, USA; as he would like to keep himself abreast of new developments in regards to precise cancer medication and revolutionary cancer treatment.

He has written and published examination revision notes for basic sciences in Clinical Oncology. He also assisted in preparing the syllabus and program logbook for postgraduate training in oncology.

Dr Ang’s current keen interest are in the treatment of central nervous system (CNS), lung and urology.
