Mount Miriam Endowment Fund
For 50 years, Mount Miriam Cancer Hospital has served people affected by cancer with love, compassion and care.
As a not-for-profit mission hospital, much of what we are able to do has been made possible through the generosity of individuals, families, organisations and communities who believe in our Mission.
The Mount Miriam Endowment Fund was established to help provide greater financial stability for the hospital so that this Mission can continue for generations to come.
Why an Endowment Fund?
The cost of providing cancer care continues to grow.
Treatment, medication, medical equipment, facilities and patient support all require significant and sustained resources. At the same time, some patients and families may need financial assistance to access the care they require.
These needs can change from year to year, while donations and operational resources may also fluctuate.
The Mount Miriam Endowment Fund was established to provide a more sustainable foundation for the future.
Contributions to the Fund are preserved and carefully managed, while the returns generated help strengthen Mount Miriam’s ability to continue its Mission and support the needs of our patients and hospital.
Supporting Mount Miriam’s Mission for Generations to Come
Every donation can make a meaningful difference. The Mount Miriam Endowment Fund is designed to extend that impact into the future by strengthening the long-term sustainability of Mount Miriam Cancer Hospital and our ability to continue serving patients and families.
By contributing to the Endowment Fund, you are helping to build a lasting source of support for future generations of cancer patients while enabling Mount Miriam to respond to the changing needs of the community.
Support generated through the Fund contributes towards areas such as:
- Financial assistance for cancer patients who face difficulty meeting the cost of treatment and care
- Palliative and hospice care, supporting patients and families when the focus of care changes
- Medical equipment, facilities and services required to provide cancer care
- The continued development of Mount Miriam Cancer Hospital and the services we provide
An endowment is more than support for today. It helps create a foundation from which Mount Miriam can continue its Mission for many years to come.
At its heart is a commitment to ensuring that future patients and families can continue to receive the care and support they need, while Mount Miriam remains true to the values on which the hospital was founded.

Every Contribution Becomes Part of Our Future
Mount Miriam Cancer Hospital exists because generations of people have chosen to stand alongside those affected by cancer.
Whether given by an individual, family, company or community organisation, every contribution to the Endowment Fund becomes part of a lasting foundation for the future of Mount Miriam and an investment in the continuation of our Mission.
Your support helps strengthen Mount Miriam’s ability to remain here for the patients and families who will need us in the years ahead.
Thank you for being part of our Mission.
