Ward Assistant (Role currently unavailable)
In-Patient ‘St Francis’ Ward
Any day from Monday to Friday, 9.00 am – 2.00 pm
- Support ward nurses with filling and organization of documents.
- Delivering medical reports and documents, within the hospital.
- Assist with ward administration, answering telephones, keying data, etc.
- Support ward nurses and staff with other regular tasks.
The weight of the workload differs from day to day.
Ward Administrator (Role currently unavailable)
St Margarets Chemotherapy Ward
Any day from Monday to Friday, 10.00 am – 2.00 pm
- Assist with administration, answering telephones, keying data, etc.
- Check patients’ appointment records.
- Support ward nurses and staff with other regular tasks.
Clinic Porter (Role currently unavailable)
Out-Patient Department and Clinics
Any day from Monday to Friday, 10.00 am – 2.00 pm
- Delivering medical reports and documents, within the hospital.
- Support clinic nurses and staff with other regular tasks.

Patient Service Assistant (Role currently unavailable)
Front Office and Customer Service
Any day from Monday to Friday, 9.00 am – 12.00 pm
- Welcome and guide patients to specific rooms or locations, within the hospital.
- Help patients with wheelchairs.
- Support customer service staff with other regular tasks.
Medical Record Volunteer (Role currently unavailable)
Medical Record Department
Any day from Monday to Friday, anytime from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm;
Saturday, anytime from 9.00 am to 12.00 pm
- Help to scan documents and files into the computer system.
- Support customer service staff with other regular tasks.
Store Assistant (Role subjected to availability)
Finance and Procurement Department
Any day from Monday to Friday, anytime from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm;
Saturday, anytime from 9.00 am to 12.00 pm
- Assist to label hospital items and equipment.
- Assist to shred old documents.
Clinical Pastoral Carers
Clinical Pastoral Care Team
The main purpose of the role is to provide pastoral care for the cancer patients, families and carers. In the main, the volunteers take on a befriending, listening role besides supporting and offering a Christian presence in the patient’s life. As such the Clinical Pastoral Carer’s are a valuable resource to the patients and families.
