Cancer Care & Clinical Services
Cancer Treatment
Cancer treatment is planned according to each patient’s diagnosis, condition and individual needs.
At Mount Miriam, cancer treatment includes radiotherapy and chemotherapy, supported by specialised treatment techniques and technologies.
Our specialists will assess your condition and discuss the treatment options that may be appropriate for you if needed.
Diagnostic Imaging
Diagnostic imaging plays an important role in investigating abnormalities, diagnosing cancer, planning treatment and monitoring a patient’s condition.
Mount Miriam provides imaging services including MRI, CT scans, mammography, ultrasound and X-ray.
The appropriate imaging examination will depend on the information your doctor needs and your individual circumstances.
Cancer Screening
Cancer screening may help identify certain abnormalities or early signs of cancer before noticeable symptoms develop.
Mount Miriam offers various cancer screening packages for men and women, as well as selected individual screening examinations. Get in touch with us to find out more.
Care & Support
Palliative Care
Palliative care focuses on comfort, symptom relief and quality of life for people living with cancer.
It can be introduced at different stages of the cancer journey alongside cancer treatment. Care can include support for physical symptoms as well as the emotional, social and spiritual needs of patients and their families.
Hospice Care
Mount Miriam provides fully funded inpatient hospice care specifically for cancer patients in individual, private rooms.
Patients do not need to have previously received cancer treatment at Mount Miriam to be considered for admission. Call us to find out more about our hospice care program.
Clinical Pastoral Care
Cancer can affect more than a person’s physical health. Mount Miriam’s Clinical Pastoral Care team provides spiritual and emotional support for patients and families who wish to receive it.
Support is centred on listening, presence and what matters to the individual, regardless of faiths, beliefs and backgrounds.
Financial Assistance for Cancer Treatment
Financial concerns can add another burden for patients and families facing cancer.
As a not-for-profit cancer hospital, Mount Miriam provides financial assistance to eligible patients through our Medical Social Welfare team, as part of the Mount Miriam Compassionate Support Initiative.
Applications are assessed according to the patient’s individual circumstances.
