About Our Jubilee Fund
The heartbeat and Mission of Mount Miriam Cancer Hospital is to serve all cancer patients with love, respect, and compassion regardless of financial status, race, or belief.
To continue this mission, the Hospital needs RM23 million for upgrading essential medical equipment such as replacing our cancer radiotherapy machine, refurbishing the wards and facility, and building repairs.
For the thousands of cancer patients who need to use these cancer treatment machines in the decade ahead, it means hope, a cure, and a chance for life. Also, for many of these cancer patients, these machines are their only hope because they cannot afford treatment elsewhere.
Every contribution matters as it closes the gap for us to serve the community better.

Medical and Information Technology
- Linear Accelerator – Cancer Radiotherapy Machine
- X-Ray and Mammogram Image Processor
Of the RM23 million allocated, RM20 million is earmarked for the replacement of our linear accelerator radiotherapy machine. It’s crucial to recognize that radiotherapy machines, along with diagnostic imaging scanners and their accompanying hardware and software, have finite lifespans. Consequently, they require periodic upgrades or replacements upon reaching the end of their operational capacity. While the investment may seem substantial, it holds profound significance for the thousands of cancer patients who will rely on these machines in the decades to come. For them, this allocation symbolizes hope, the prospect of a cure, and the opportunity for life. Moreover, for many of our patients, these machines represent their sole chance for treatment, as they are unable to afford medical care elsewhere.

Palliative Care & Hospice Wards, Facilities and Infrastructure Repairs & Upgrading
- Second Lift
- Water Tank Repair and Upgrading
- Palliative-Hospice Wards Refurbishment
- Hospice Friendly Facilities
As we extend our welfare-funded hospice services to cater to the underserved needs within the cancer care sector, our primary objective is to ensure the best possible experience and environment for all patients. Foremost among our priorities is the installation of a second lift within the hospital, as we have operated with only one lift for an extended period. Additionally, there is a pressing need for refurbishment across various areas of the hospital infrastructure, including the wards, building walls, water tank, bereavement rooms, and other essential facilities. Many of these components have remained unchanged since the hospital’s inception 48 years ago, highlighting the urgency for repairs and upgrading.
Current funds raised (as of 28th November 2024): RM1,182,086.00/ RM23,000,000.00
